About — suulin

We are a holistic design practice, founded in 2014, with deep committment to an integrated design approach. Our focus extends beyond the building to include all elements of the project - from architecture and landscape down to furnishings and lighting. We place great emphasis on enhancing connections to nature and facilitating stewardship of our environment. Suulin means 'forest' in taiwanese, marking our global perspective and commitment to all forms of sustainability.

We work on a wide range of projects, with particular focus on spaces for people - educational, residential, and community engagement work are keystones of our practice.

As a woman-owned practice and a diverse team, we are committed to inclusivity, sustainability, and equity in every aspect of our work. We acknowledge that our work takes place in the traditional territories of many Indigenous nations. Our office is located in downtown Toronto, the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation in the Dish With One Spoon Territory.

Suulin is licensed to practice Architecture in the Province of Ontario and New York State. We are currently working on projects in both Canada and the US. Amy is LEED and Passive House accredited in Canada and the United States.
