the detox summerhill store
The shop at Summerhill is our 5th Detox Market shop. The existing building was originally a bank that had fallen into some disrepair. The decision was made to restore the space simply and then implement a similar language developed in previous shops but with a softer sensibility to complement the space and neighbourhood. White ash and stone were used but corners were softened with curves.
The programming of The Detox Market shops have grown more sophisticated, and in this shop, 2 completely private spa rooms were accommodated as well as multiple flexible display areas. A feature sink is incorporated into a display piece that can also serve as a workshop and demonstration table.
