brooklyn waldorf school

This was a feasibility study done for the Brooklyn Waldorf School in New York City.

The resulting study compared the redevelopment of their existing site and a potential new site. Both sites would include existing heritage buildings into the design. Included here is a brief excerpt of the study. The brief, schematic studies that were done aimed to create a communal educational environment that was very much engaged with nature, even in an urban setting. Roof gardens, greenhouses, and theater space that opened to the outside were all important elements of the design thought.
