888 dupont mixed used development

This 13-storey mixed-use development project extends along the key junction of Toronto’s Ossington and Dupont Streets and the elevated lines of the Canadian Pacific Railways. It replaces an industrial warehouse well-known for its unique faded green cladding and for artist studios with affordable rents. The new building reinvents the landmark green and complements it with vertical landscaping. 888 Live-Work aspires to serve as a hub for artists that can also serve other makers and creative types.

Nimbly working hand-in-hand with stakeholders, the building program and design has evolved to offer a mixed-use component of non-residential commercial space, potentially including gallery and light-industrial space. Above the building’s entry level, the remaining area offers a mix of 136 live-work apartments ranging in size from 1-3 bedrooms.
